PHYSICAL HAZARD is any extraneous object or foreign matter in a food item which may cause illness or injury to a person consuming the product.

Cellophane and child´s toy plastic cup found in a jar of instant coffee granules are illustrated in the jar (fig.1). The foreign material may have been derived from the home but sabotage at the production stage cannot be discounted. After these subjects were removed for examination (fig.2).

Celofán a d?tská plastová hra?ka byla nalezena ( ve sklenici instantní kávy (obr.1). Cizí p?edm?ty se do kávy mohly dostat doma, ale sabotá? ve výrobním procesu nelze vylou?it. Poté byly tyto p?edm?ty vyjmuty k rozboru (obr.2).
